We have kicked the year off with a charity that is very close to Sharon’s (Director) heart.
Sharon’s dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's, a disease that affects 2 people every hour. With this, his health began to deteriorate a little more each year and eventually he needed round the clock care.
After a hard battle, he very sadly passed away in January. Loved and missed, every day by those closest to him.
We have therefore decided to raise as much money as we can for Parkinsons UK.
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Alan!
Alan is 78 years old and will be abseiling down Guildford Cathedral on Saturday 18th May 2019. Read his story here.
We will bring you live coverage on the day via Facebook. This is something not to be missed, can’t say I have ever seen a 78-year-old abseil anywhere let alone down a building that is 49 metres high!
I am sure you will join me in wishing him the best of luck with the fund raising, not to mention the abseil itself. Break a leg Alan. But not literally 😊
To help Alan in his quest to raise funds we put together an Easter Hamper.
Lots of lovely bits and pieces up for grabs:
- Stuffed Easter bunny
- 20cl Southwold Gin
- Cavity Mug, Pens, Highlighter, Keyring and Car Air Freshener
- Free Cavity Dental Training Voucher (BLS, First Aid, Safeguarding, Manual Handling, Fire Safety)
- Younique pore purifying toner and spritz
- Clarins bath and shower concentrate
- Belgian chocolate Easter Egg
In total we raised £128 from ticket purchases alone. Thank you everybody that took the time to make a donation, I know it will be so greatly received. You can still make a donation by visiting Alan’s JustGiving page by clicking here.
Good Luck Alan!
